First, what an episode! As such I would like to comment on why Quinella used this method to get into Eugeo’s mind.
> Also, Quinella’s eyes are NOT purple, instead they have no color and are said to be something like mirrors, reflecting the color of what she sees.
> "Eugeo and love!" Why did Quinella used love to get into Eugeo and why he fell for it!? – Fair question, it is sad but Eugeo’s buildup to this point is very shallow on the anime. So let me breakdown a few things.
–> Did Eugeo really killed his family? – No, it’s a metaphor, Eugeo’s family is composed of farmers, his entire family works on the fields and they survive with the bare minimum, when he first got his calling as the guy cutting the Giga’s Ceder his family felt betrayed, despite he not being responsible for choosing his calling, his brothers hated him and his father was concerned with the family’s future, his mother went to the kitchen to cry and the poor boy of only eight stood there feeling like a monster, his salary was controlled by his family and he never saw a dime. When he could choose a new calling for cutting the tree, his family wanted him to help at the farm, but instead he went to the capital, looking for Alice.
–> Tiese is the first girl Eugeo saw, she might actually love him, but now he is a criminal, he will never be able to rise the ranks of society and marry her, even so he does not want her to be with him, for he sees himself as a monster.
–> Young Alice, the girl he loves the most and the girl Quinella used to tilt Eugeo, is she even alive? Will he be able to save her? Even so, will she love him back?
–> Kirito, the boy who took him to a journey, during the entire way up to the 100th floor he felt that Kirito was holding something back, something important but so important he could not trust Eugeo with. Remember during Episode 16? Just before Kirito opened the door Eugeo stopped for a second, he wanted to ask Kirito: Who are you? Truly. – Also, after the journey was over, would Kirito still be with him? As his only friend?
