I am so depressed right now. Is this really SAO? Or am I watching Fate in disguise? BRUH…
What the hell did I just watch in these 24 minutes?! Quinella is dead, Chudelcuck saved the day, surprisingly, EUGEO IS DEAD, ALICE IS DEAD, EVERYONE IS DEAD! 😭😭😭

Can’t believe they killed best boy of the series. SAO has got some real balls killing off a main character for once. I cried my damn eyes out when the music kicked in, as Eugeo and Alice were bidding farewell to Kirito. So much pain. I hurt. Poor Kirito man…that’s yet another person dear to him that he couldn’t protect and save. I’m sure this will haunt him for the rest of his life, but looks like that is gonna have to wait cause now Kirito is not only a fried vegetable IRL, he also got fried in game…and lost an arm! Oof!

Honestly, the past 3 episodes of Alicization have been incredible! By SAO standards, this is amazing! Like Fate quality amazing! And that frikkin cliff-hanger man…I absolutely LOST IT!
But thankfully, I don’t have to wait half a year to continue watching this series!

I will see you all very soon, for the second half of Alicization! 😄

Everything before this was just the building blocks for this and what i like to call this is Alicization saga (1st half and war of underworld) is for me infinity war, and the final arc (depends if the author does not write too much that he intended to) be Endgame.

    Makes me tear up everytime.

From what I read online the author was planning on making Eugeo live in the anime but he chickened out and never brought it up in the script meetings, and so it’s the same as in the novels.

But it would’ve derailed the plot for the next half if Eugeo lived, I still wanted him to live but the plot would be different in the next half if he had lived.

Yep he’s now a vegetable in both worlds, and the part with Asuna at the end was just Kirito hallucinating.

The part with Quinella saying to Kirito that they’ll meet in the real world, was just Quinella ejecting her Lightcube – it’s the storage device that she was contained in.

And mind you after this episode, I waited half a year for the next one, that was the time that I went to read the source material just because I couldn’t wait anymore.

Good job on getting most of it so I don’t need to go too long on the explanations.

So where this ep ended was a break point for the anime. So while you only had to wait a bit to watch the next ep, we had months and months and months. Then they did it again between the 2nd half of this 2nd half with another long break. They really liked making us suffer on cliffhangers. It went 24 -> Break -> 12 -> Break -> 11/End

The thing with how this ended though Eugeo got his Alice in the end, that was her memory crystal he had with him. He followed her to the grave and left the New Alice behind with Kirito. So they did both get an Alice in the end. Eugeo’s injuries were way too severe to be saved. The Blue Rose Sword froze his wound and was keeping him alive, but when he used the last of his power to reforge the broken sword with his own blood for Kirito, that ment there was no saving him. Then once Quinella died the blood sword vanished and Eugeo was really dieing. Kirito was about to trade his life force to save Eugeo’s life like he did with the Goblin Cave, but to heal him it would have killed Kirito and Eugeo knew it so he told him to Stay Cool. Also Kirito did loose an arm duruing the fight and huge wounds so his life force is already tanked from that.

The Eugeo Death song is really damn good. Seriously one of the best songs in the soundtrack. And the long prolonged Death of Eugeo as it played is just…. so damn bitter.

So now you know how Quinella’s hair stays glued to her tits, its prehensile. And The clown motorboated Quinella to the grave. The animation frames of her blowing are gorgeous.

So as for who won and who lost in this… everyone lost.

Quinella died by a clown getting off inside her, Cardinal was unable to achieve her dream of deleting Underworld and was toasted, Eugeo was split in half by Quinella’s big sword to free the Knights and bled out, Alice lost an eye and her purpose in life as well as her comrades, and Kirito lost his friends and family, an Arm and his mind. This tower fight happened all in one night and ended at sunrise the next day. It was the blink of an eye and so much was lost. It was one of the densest parts of the story as a whole.

And the funny thing is you think this is it for suffering. Oh, this is only the beginning of the suffering. Now its about the fallout of this huge event. You have the 2nd half now which has some really truely amazing stuff in it. Gorgeous music and animation.
