If and when you do this for KH2, I hope you’ll remember the square actions that each drive form has. It’s a commonly known ability, but I know several players who rarely use it.

I played this game on standard mode (and might replay it on critical soon), and because I wanted to create themed decks that made Ven, Terra, and Aqua feel unique, I went out of my way to unlock (almost, there’s still some that I haven’t gotten yet) all of their exclusive commands. I’m really glad that I set each of them up that way.

you struggle with munny in bbs? just go to the disney world and jump into that flipper table thingy. try to reach the highest bumper and position yourself to be jumping of it, then hitting the roof of the flipper table, falling back onto the bumper. now just leave the game on for 5 hours, and there you go. theres your munny

I beat all Stories of BBS on critical without using D links because I didn’t like the set abilities. If I’d have know this could level up I would’ve definitely used them haha

BBS has so much replay value to me, it definitely stands up out of the other side games. I’ve been using the dash type shotlocks as airstep recently, by just targeting once or twice before confirming. Playing on level 1 crit also really made me think outside the box and appreciate all the options a lot more

Funny enough with modding you can make some ennemies vulnerable to specific statut aliment(and welp check what statut aliment ennemies/bosses are weak to) .
Also its funny how us, as the players are vulnerable to alot of those statuts aliment, even some like mini probably for the multiplayers mode on the psp version

Funny, this video actually made me feel like an outlier to most people who played this.
I was so heavily invested in this game, mostly cause my parents weren’t the type to buy me whatever game whenever I felt like it, that I went and did full 100% runs of each of the characters multiple times because I wanted to see how much could be done with the system.
Hearing that people don’t like the Ice Cream mechanic is SUCH a surprise to me since I used that so much and I even liked the Rhythm game associated with it.
In particular, this was the game that made me dive into doing challenge runs and play in contrast to how the game expected you to.
Doing Inverse Vanitas with only basic attacks was the worst decision I made playing this game, but it’s one of my fondest memories!

I recently decided to 100% Ventus’ story, and it was such a fantastic journey. I was introduced to so many cool things in the way of these mechanics, and, man, it was such a fun time. I’ve learned a lot more about the game since I first played it (about a year ago XD), and between its touching, intimate story, its characters that I feel so much for, and the hidden gems within its gameplay, I think I can call it my favorite KH game.
Experiencing the D-links, seeing all the top tier commands in action, playing some nice games on the Command Board (my absolute favorite minigame, come at me XD), seeing the Mirage Arena Keyblades and bosses… it all fills me with so much awe and good ol’ Kingdom Hearts glee. Future playthroughs are gonna be so much more interesting now that I know how fun some of these things are.
I’ll definitely have to have a crack at getting 100% for the other two in the near future! ^w^

I’d rather use moves like Firaga Burst in the air so the fireballs don’t hit the ground, negating their usefulness.
I also feel like the command gauge gets in the way because it prevents you from continuing combos when full, forcing you to use the finisher instead.
Ailments commands are the most useless moves in the game because endgame bosses are immune to everything so what’s the point.

I feel like Re:Coded has a lot of gameplay features and mechanics that are overlooked. You should definitely check it out, I promise you won’t be disappointed

Raging storm is broken (activate raging storm and rapidly wiggling the analog stick damages enemies on every single frame) Aqua can beat Gantu within 10 seconds.

I like the fact that the Aqua critical speedrun pretty much utilizes everything mentioned in this video. I remember briefly learning it and seeing the diversity of mechanics in the run was really cool.

When I was doing a LOT of experimenting for KH BBS, I realized that this game’s mechanics are deeper than I realized. Which makes me feel HOOKED to the game and want to explore a lot of options.

Normally i try to remain positive about BBS given i personally dislike the gameplay, but the real question comes down to “is this stuff worth trying”, cause outside of “because i want to” reasons people are gonna gravitate to the path of least resistance, thus leading to the 4 thunder surge 4 curaga deck. If more commands were more useful in more situations, then experimenting would be a given, but most are either the same move with a different skin or are only really useful for specific things, which leads to frustration when you have 2 or 3 commands that are effectively useless cause your fighting nothing but airborne enemies. I even tried myself to use as many commands as i could in my first playthru of each character, and always found myself right back to using the same deck with maybe 2 unique commands. IMO, most the commands feel like they were designed for a different game
