It is really sad how Haku had to be left behind at the ending! And the fact that Chihiro would forget about what happened in this world and Haku himself just makes this extra sad😵

At the end of the film, Chihiro correctly answers that none of the pigs are her parents. Apparently, Chihiro believed that Yubaba was trying to TRICK her into failing her final test, only for Chihiro to luck out.
“I’ve never explained why Chihiro knows that her parents are not among the group of pigs towards the end of the film. Those people who are constantly seeking explanations often say that it’s illogical. However, I don’t think those kinds of things are important. After all the things she’s experienced up to that point, Chihiro simply knows that her parents aren’t there. You ask why she knows, but knowing is human life. That’s all it is. If you can point out that something is lacking here or there, then the audience should fill in the gaps for themselves. I don’t want to waste time thinking about those kinds of things.”

ok so this is just the actual fact abt the anime which they didn’t mention in it but its true and it is how the story actually ends, so when Chihiro walked out of the tunnel and turned back, her hair tie sparkles. I went through the comments and some ppl said that her hair tie sparkled maybe bcs she remembers abt the spirit world but that isn’t it, i mean she remembers abt it but that isn’t the reason why her hair tie sparkled. Now prepare ti cry, when she turned back her hair tie sparkled because that resembles Haku’s tears and he died at the same moment when her hair tie sparkles.

ok y’all might be thinking that he is already dead (if u didn’t know he is already dead because it is obviously the spirit world which means the dead’s world) and how did he "die" when he her hair tie sparkled. Well, I don’t even know the answer to that but you can search how he died in the beginning and how he met Yubaba. And Chihiro never met Haku again and for them to meet back, (this isn’t confirmed but i think it in that way) Chihiro needs to die in order to meet Haku back. And this is just my theory that Haku lied to Chihiro at the end that they will meet again for Chihiro to go back to her world (how romantic :’) I- i just can’t pls let me cry in the corner again)

I used to confused in the ending moment, where Chihiro must chose correctly which is her father and mothers among the pigs. I almost though that there was a hint i miss that told about her parents not there among the pigs. But then i realized, Chihiro from the start doesn’t want to believe that her parents has turn into a pig, she conflicted and even have a nightmare about not recognizing them again. So by the end when she say that her parents are not among the pigs, that was her statement! She never saw her mother and father as a greedy pigs (even in the facts they are, they are the one who dragging her through all the trouble in the first place). Then i realized again, this movie is basically run on how pure and clean Chihiro saw the world. From No faces, Rin, Kamajiro, Bo, to Yubaba and her twin sister. They all are cold, harsh and ignorance character, but they all are turn when they meet with how pure Chihiro saw them
