Since GGGnK is my childhood anime, I went into it knowing all about the Nobiagari and how it may go down. Kitaro arrives, gets turned into a tree, gets back up, defeats the Nobiagari. They do change things up a bit from adaption to adaption, so it keeps old fans excited too, other than already being excited just because it’s Kitaro. Did not expect that cliffhanger. Usually, GeGeGe no Kitaro is episodic and generally concludes well, but the 2018 is throwing in those cliffhangers and a possible new antagonist(or a recurring one with a new design)!

Being set in the modern era… there’s going to be bucket loads of satire. We have the idiotic YouTubers that go around being obnoxious for the views. We have the bystanders that pull out their phones, even if something terrible is going on right in front of them. We have the adolescence that don’t know remember how to write a [proper] letter, since they’re so used to texting. Kitaro has always been full of lessons, and this adaption is sure to get our modern society thinking about ourselves even more.

Looking forward to today’s new GGGnK episode. Good review!

I never heard of this series until they said that this will be replacing Super. I wonder if this has an English Dub.
