Loved darling in the franxx but hated the rushed ending. Felt just as rushed as it did in kill la kill…. Both somehow ended up in space.

Since you’ve liked Megalo Boxs’ OST, you should try Devilman Crybaby. Really. Try it.

Darling in the franxx while getting absurd in the end is this tale of this idealized love we all wish we could find and just for that it deserves to be watched. It even attained warming the heart of a heartless motherfucker like me.

I came here for darling in the franxx, and in my opinion, even though the ending episodes could have been made better, I stil love the anime, and it my favorite by far.

For your front facing videos you should wear a mic, the distance between you and the mic and maybe the quality of the mic too are doing you a disservice.

2018 produced some of the best anime that I’ve seen in a long time and I’ve regularly watched anime for 20 years.

The funny thing is, picking my top 5 for the year was actually pretty easy. Here’s how I’d rate the anime I’d watched from last year…

    5. Yuru Camp (Laid Back Camp) – Arkada wasn’t lying. This is the ultimate relaxation anime and to be perfectly blunt, actually got me interested in camping. I wasn’t blown away by it so much where I’d call it the anime of the year, but it was certainly one of the best and certainly the most “chill” anime I watched from 2018.

    4. High Score Girl – I’m not sure if this is one Arkada missed or just didn’t reach his bar, but HSG is one of those anime that can be pretty deceptive on appearance alone. I’ll even admit that the animation for this one is…not stellar. However, it still sort of worked just based off of separating “game footage” from the players. However, what I loved about this one revolved around the characters. I loved seeing Haruo from an immature brat of a kid to a teenager who becomes more self-reliant, but grows to understand his feelings for Akira. I loved how this anime was able to get me incredibly invested in Akira, a character with absolutely zero dialogue, but you can understand her emotional turmoil. Then, there’s Hikada, who becomes a gamer from trying to get closer to the boy she loves to ultimately becoming a full-blown gamer and a damn good one at that. I honestly can’t wait for season 2 and I thought the OVAs were an excellent bridge into it.

    3. Rascal Doesn’t Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai – As a fan of the Monogatari Series as well as others like it such as Haruhi, anime with supernatural elements spritzed in, I ate this anime up. To be frank, I actually liked this more. Mai was one of those girls I thought was the perfect blend of promiscuous, yet modest. I loved Sakuta’s character because as much of a pervert as he pretends to act like, he’s a great all-around person who wants to help people just based off of the experiences he went through with his little sister. This anime had a nice blend of comedy and drama and even though it’s not my anime of the year, Sakuta and Mai were easily my two favorite characters of the year.

    2. A Place Further Than The Universe – This is one of those series I didn’t expect me to grab me the way it did. On the surface, it just rubs off as one of those cute girls doing cute things together because friendship is magic sort of series. However, I was really caught off-guard by the emotional magnitude of this series and I could really relate with the girls in this series just based off the fact that I know what it’s like to feel like to search for a purpose, while finding those purposes could drive a wedge through some of the relationships you’ve established. I think the ONLY thing that threw me off was that corny as shit ending (I’m talking about the very end and not the last episode as a whole). Still, it was minuscule enough where it’s still one of my favorite anime of the year.

    1. Violet Evergarden – Just when I think Kyoto Ani cannot possibly make a harder hitting anime than Clannad: After Story, my God, I believe they might have done it with Violet Evergarden. I can honestly say no anime made me cry harder than this series did. I’m usually not a huge fan of episodic anime like this, but man, this one had just some absolutely captivating stories. I, much like everyone else, was an absolute mess after episode 10. It was an amazing display of a mother’s love, even though she might not necessarily show it. However, even putting that aside, this was fascinating to watch just to see Violet’s emotional growth from soldier to civilian. It was close for me between this and A Place Further Than The Universe, but this one hit me quite a bit harder on the emotional level, so that’s why I gave it the edge.

You’ve got a really boring voice. It’s putting my mind to sleep.

I recommend you using a character accent.
