I just rewatched the first bit… they’re all holding the weapons they fight with in the auditions. And Banana’s one line is about repeating a cycle ‘at the source of starlight’. ohhhh ohhhhh boy.

One of Banana’s first lines in the show was something akin to "its easy enough to understand, if you are me that is".
Also Banana’s reaction to Teacher announcing there’s a transfer student from this episode is actually in the first episode. Like, the whole 4 second scene of Banana reacting to it is there. Its not just in this episode. Something tells me this show will benefit A LOT from rewatching.

The "normal" backgrounds were seriously great (like, put me in that school! so many trees!) during the Maya/Banana conversation.
I thought the camera thing was more of a director (film) act. Capture the actors in various moments. But given the content of the PLOT TWIST, she is also preserving the moments she loves.
What a great episode. It almost reveals more about Hikari than the rest of the show, plus it opens up the reality of what’s going on. I bet Hikari is the unpredictable element of the show here, she’s finally broken in. Banana’s gotten her loop too stable to have a real ‘top star stage.’ But an earlier ep had Banana trying to keep the show the same, soooo…..

Now we know the reason Hikari has a blue coat.

And the play at the beginning of the ep. has all the girls in similar roles as they have later on in the timeline. I’m not sure how, but it could be that Nana has some control of the "plot" of the auditions. Which kinda makes me want to go back and examine how she’s been acting in the previous episodes.

I love the direction of this anime so much, because throughout this entire episode, I was just hypnotized by how each scene was presented and constructed. It was impossible to take your eyes off the screen. And by the end of the episode, I was absolutely TERRIFIED of Banana. Ugh, this show! It’s a shame that the Reddit section for this anime is so bare (Episode 7’s thread only had ELEVEN comments, can you believe it?)

Well, at least I have this to look forward to every week! Keep up the good work!

Didn’t Nana join with the behind the scenes class and in one episode demand using the same actors in last year? As opposed to Hikari and Karen, who class b wanted to use as lead actors.

I think this is a fine time to mention that the color yellow, in color/cinematographic theory, means insanity, craziness and unhingedness.

Try to not get spoiled, I think from this point is time to cut off completely from the internet except nyaa, waiting for the good subs to come out each week. I got spoiled of the time travel and downloaded the first subs, but it’s time to be more careful in the internet from this week onwards. Banana is still best girl, the creepy final shot sold this episode and now it’s time for Hikari to show her side of the story, Hikari is the reason Karen is even competing in this loop after all. Also, it’s time to rewatch the first 6 episodes for all the hints that were always there.
