Awesome fight. Looking forward to Deku vs Todoroki. I loved the fight in the manga. I am looking forward to the fight in the anime with the music. It’s going to make me cry my eyes out if the music is played right. X3

I remember a few weeks before this fight happened in the manga, in one
popular poll in Japan Ochako was voted as one of the top 10 worst female
manga leading characters. Still don’t know today what the fuck those voters were smoking.

Yeah, girls have it hard not just in shonen, but in fiction in general. I mean, in Fairy Tail they’re just fanservice, and even in One Piece, which I love, the girls are either unrealistic Barbies or ugly-as-fuck. While I have noticed that Horikoshi does put most of the girl heroes in these kinda skin-tight suits, he honestly writes his girls way better than most shonen mangakas. Tsuyu especially gets some rad development.

really hated the ochako fight, they acted like he was hurting her heaps every time he used his quirk, yet she was fine everytime, there was no damage, no burns, just very light scratches, yet all the characters reacted like he was doing the worst thing possible, it was retarded.

If you really think about it in the big spectrum all this emotions and effort put in this competition are kind of pointless for the reason that this competition is not a big deal by itself. Losing here wont affect their grades, it wont affect if they become a hero or not, the are in UA to BECOME A HERO. And there will be other 2 of these events while they’re at UA so getting that upset or passionate for losing or winning a fight is somehow pointless. Its a big showoff bit i wouldn’t say its important for them to become true heroes.
