Hey do you know that a lot of us are still guessing that dabi is also a todoroki/ endeavor’s son? It’s not a spoiler coz no one has confirmed it yet, even in the manga.

Deku, All Might, and even Stain’s ideal version of heroes isn’t realistic, and it’s shown perfectly this episode. Deku was following the moral of ‘sacrifice everything of yourself to save people’ and look what happened.

He managed to save Kota, with his classmate’s help they caught Mr.Compress, and got Tokoyami, BUT in the end the biggest thing, which was the main reason the villains were there in the first place, Bakugo, he couldn’t go to save, or even try to help save Bakugo, because at that point his body was failing him.

He’s still young, and unlike All Might, he simply isn’t strong enough to be able to throw aside his own safety/well being, as if he’ll be ok, heck even All Might is barely able to accept the fact that, despite having All For One, and being the No.1 Hero, he can’t do everything himself, he’s human just like everyone else, and if heroes go full on into the extreme selflessness ideals, they’ll save people yes, but you’ll also get plenty of crippled/dead heroes along the way as well.

They may get crap for it, but the people like the Hosu City Police Chief, and Aizawa, though harsh, are completely right. You have to be extremely careful, even if you have their skills, or a Quirk, an unfortunate turn of events, due to either recklessness, or just plain bad luck, will end a hero as much as any citizen.

That’s why they must treat the job as pragmatically as they do, instead of trying to idealistically follow the exact definition of heroes from the past, it makes sure people get saved, reduces risk to citizens, and other heroes, because someone not fully trained decided to step in and help, which could very likely just make the situation worse, they might become a new hostage, they could cause the hero to have to halt an attack, due to not coordinating, or they might even need to be pulled out of the way of an attack they weren’t ready for.

The issue here is kids breaking the rules. It’s like there is a kid in a crime scene they will just get in the way. Remember that being a hero is a job in this world and they are just hero in-taining, they don’t even have provisional license yet.

Bakugo has constantly been saying he wants to be the #1 hero. He would never be a villain, no matter how aggressive he seems. It won’t happen.

In the manga, it’s hard to completely understand inflection of the kidnapping scene. When Bakugo said “Don’t come, Deku” in the manga, I thought he was being arrogant and stubborn. In the anime I was surprised to see that he actually was trying to protect Deku because he knows of his self-sacrificing nature. He knew if Deku got through the portal, the villains would surely kill him.

It’s all about consequences and responsibility and Iida learned it the hard way (along with Todoroki and Izuku) just from the Stain incident

Iida is 100% right, but it’s all about choice. Will you choose to stay and do nothing or go and try to save Bakugo.

Saving Bakugo is a really stupid idea, but I would still do it.

In this case, I side with Iida. It’s not just a matter of breaking the rules, but how dangerous it is and the possible interference of the hero’s rescue operation. All Might, the other pro heroes, and the police are taking care of things. There’s so many things that can go wrong just by having a group of kids recklessly try to take care of things themselves. Yeah, it’s their friend and whatnot, but you have to take into account the possible risk and consequences of your actions. You could potentially make things worse or even get yourself killed.

“If you were taken… I would go.”
Yeah, but then you would probably cause her death. When the police are dispatched to rescue someone, normal people, especially those who fight at a novice level, should not purposefully stand between the good and bad guys. The only ones likely to benefit from that are the bad guys. Because extreme emotions are not logical, sometimes it’s best to think what you would do in a bad situation before it ever happens, so that you are likely to follow a rational plan.

Isn’t the blue flames familiar to you ? Todoroki’s dad used it to kill a Nomu so are they rlated somehow ?
And the dude that izuku used 100000% on is the father of the Bomber kid

"The police and the military are planning to go take out this terrorist organization."

"Nah. The fifteen year olds can handle it!"

The only reason Deku, Todoroki, and Iida didn’t get killed by Stain immediately is because Stain was intentionally not trying to kill two of them. Deku and Todoroki were dead multiple times in that fight if Stain had gone for the kill.

Bakugo, for the majority of the series has been way too full of pride. Some people are too quick to dismiss that line "don’t come Deku" as his way of saying I don’t want to be saved by scum like you, like normal. however it’s obvious that as we had already seen an episode ago they told Bakugo to stay in the middle so they could protect him. He went along with it even though he was yelling at them not to protect him. It makes sense that since he wakes up (becomes uncompressed) to see Midoriya running towards him about to jump through the warp gate to try and save him, with 2 broken arms no less, the only thing he can say to him is the stay back. Bakugo is a softie deep down anyone should be able to tell he didn’t want Midoriya to get hurt or killed.

I think I typed too much lol

Deku would be a great villain… A tactian one… Capable in luring All Might into traps and despising people blessed with quirks. But I know he won’t be, it’s just that it’s cool.

The issue is not about the rules, the issue is that they are kids trying to go against multiple experienced villains. They’d just screw things up more by interfering in the investigation. Probably get killed too.

What I’m about to say is spoiler-free.
Bakugo is starting to be a lot softer than he once was. By that I mean his last words before getting kidnapped had a faint sense of concern. Despite his fiery nature, it shows that Bakugo doesn’t want Deku to be hurt. You could say Bakugo is a male tsundere.

  48. SnowyWolborg
    November 7, 2019 @ 2:39 am

Going to save Bakugo sounds cool, but in reality it’s a really stupid thing to do. Not only are they going against the rules of their school, but they are planning to go somewhere that they think that a *Nomu* is. Just what about that sounds like a good idea? Not to mention, for all the students know, the villains will be there. It isn’t as if they’re simply going to hand Bakugo over and let them walk out the door.

Best case scenario they have to fight to get away, but even if they do, that would also be breaking the law because unlicensed individuals are not permitted to use their Quirk without permission.

The smart thing to do is just trust the adults to get the job done. It’s good that Kirishima and Izuku feel regret for not being able to save Bakugo, but they reacting completely off emotion.

I think that part of what makes this show great is that the author of its source material writes every chapter as if it’s his last.
