Does joe owe the boss money? I thought he was just doing it as a hustle to get money, and nanbu is coaching/managing him to get a cut to pay back the boss

9:20 I assumed concerned, but the boss’ next line made me question that too!

Can’t wait to see how you react to Gear is Dead :O

Since this entire anime is a tribute to ashita no joe, that name is pretty fitting. Also, you can take it as an average joe taking on the big league. Compared to the first episode, this format felt much better imo. Little joke here and there, your commentary felt a lot more natural, and its more analysis/thoughts.

As for any new anime to watch, only one i can think that you could enjoy is golden kamui. The first episode is a bit rough but the show gets way better. If you have seen stien’s gate or full metal panic, they got new series this season. i have not seen them. So, i can;t tell you if they are really good or not. Or just for the heck of it, review the sun and moon anime or at least any episode that you really enjoyed.

I think Nanbu was trying to sell him out. You see how selfish he’s been and also how desperate he is. But also it was one of his last question which could mean he is trying to accept his L and save a future for his partner.

I think Nanbu was trying to sell out or somehow like guilt trip the Yakuza guy in some way to save his own skin
