I know this sounds redundant how this is a tribute to Ashita no Joe but from the flashback of Joe, they paid homage and referenced how the original Joe got his love from boxing during his time in prison. A nice callback to an iconic anime.

After next week, I’m really gonna miss this anime. Yuri vs Gearless Joe better put up a great fight. If Aragaki is Apollo creed, then Joe should win the fight like how the ending to Rocky 3 was

PLEASE let the fight actually be good, it would be so disappointing if it barley lives up to the hype. Also I can already hear everyone whining about them both not having gears, like who cares honestly its not about the gear its about the characters.

Still as predictable as ever, but pretty good. The best scene was Nanbu recognizing Joe’s mistake without being able to see.
So, the last match won’t even be megalo boxing, just boxing. I feel like the gears were just a gimmick to get people hyped.

This is what I love from this show, imo the episodes like these are the best as it’s really makes me feel like I know these characters and I felt a lot of sympathy for Yuri and felt bad for him when he was going through all the pain. I agree this episode deserves a gold star.

This was pretty exciting building up a lot of hype for next episode. The soundtrack was good through out this episode, definitely looking forward to next week.

The scene in Ashita no joe was way more impactful. The scene with Yuri felt a little out of place. In the original joe, they rival tried to starve himself just so he could be on the same weight class as joe. That moment was actually like a horror movie. Yuri’s scene was just ok
