Well you might have grew up with Dragon Ball Z like the average Z fan, but If you had this many problems with it then it sounds like you weren’t much of a real Z fan to began with; most likely just one of those boys who watched it growing up to fit in because it was the "cool show to watch". My bad, I’m not mad & I’m not saying you not a real Z fan, I’m just saying if you were as into Z as much as I was you wouldn’t like kai either; I was a real Z nut LOL. It’s not bad that you like Kai, I just prefer watching the old Z dub for various reasons. Maybe if you’re looking for something new then Kia is for you but I was perfectly content with the way is was; I enjoyed the drawn out anticipation between the episodes every week, I find the Kia to be a little too fast pace. I don’t even like the way the new dragon ball Z movies are drawn LOL. And trust me them changing the music is a valet reason to get upset about, can you imagine if you’re watching "texas chainsaw massacre" but they changed the music to something goofy sounding? O.o

drawn out anticipation? oh you mean 3 episodes of reaction shots and poses getting ready to fight. You say those quotes mean something but in the context they were in it was unfitting. Goku didn’t normally want revenge so when he told frieza he’d see him in hell it was shocking and out of character but that fits because he transformed out of pure rage. Even if the animation style isn’t the same as before you can’t say the old show was animated better some scenes were just laughable.

The normal score is a repetitive 36 old as crap songs, it can’t compare to Bruce Faulconer’s OST of 319 Epic songs; he at least gave ever character their own theme.
