This is a EMOTIONAL my hero academia (English Dub) 1×2 group / family reaction. Their first time watching anime was My Hero Academia 1×1. They are watching episode 2 season 1 “What It Takes To Be a Hero”. In this reaction we have Aunt, BB, and TeaCup. The channel was first introduced to anime when Mom (Saint Ma) reacted to Naruto, Pain’s cycle of hatred. We also have started to watch Naruto as well. We have already did Episode 1 “Enter: Naruto Uzumaki” and she cried (Aunt).

The walk bakugou did around 16:13 is a common anime trope, characters will do it when they’re trying to be cool or act like a delinquent(the Japanese equivalent of thugs and gangsters in their youth)

I like that for once we have a realistic hero who is sensitive because it’s that sensitivity that drives people to do good. Many people who are doctors or vets or war journalists often have to struggle with their feelings but they do the job anyways because it’s the right thing to do.

Don’t try and pretend that scene isn’t a tear jerker. I’m sure a lot of people who watched this show the first time cried at that ending. You’ve seen Izuku’s struggles, him being criticized by his classmates, told he can’t be a hero because he didn’t have a quirk, and when he tried to save that A-hole’s life, he inspired his hero All Might to save the day. But in the end, he got the compliment of a lifetime, and from his hero no less, that he CAN be a hero, that’s a powerful scene, and I look forward to each episode. The show is on its third season, and I look forward to seeing your reactions to these episodes.
BTW, I’m not ashamed to admit that when I first saw this show, and this scene came up, I cried my eyes out. Me, my brother and my sister cried at this scene, you connect with this character, you want to see him succeed and you’ll experience the ups and downs he will go through.

I’ve been trying to get through this show because I like the concept but its a bit hard for me, ( I don’t really know why,) but watching it with you guys is fun. it is so hard for me to convince my friends to give this show (let alone any anime) a try and even more impossible for my black friends who all call me “nerd” and “weeb” and all kinds of stuff. For future reference: The main boy’s name is Izuku Midoriya. He’s also called ‘Deku’ as a mean nickname. The mean kid’s name is Katsuki Bakugo; Izuku calls him ‘Kacchan’ as a childhood nickname. You’ll find out about All Might’s Quirk in the next episode, I think. What else… Oh, Izuku’s Quirk isn’t his knowledge; he just studies heroes as a hobby, so he knows a lot about different heroes and their abilities. It’s not a superpower, it’s just him learning obsessively about a subject he’s interested in. He straight-up doesn’t have one (though he can shoot a lot of water out of his eyes for someone without a superpower to do so).

Worth it! Btw, I always wondered if the sludge villain could sense quirks in people and that’s why he went after Izuku:
1. first before everybody else in a whole freaking big city,
2. why and what did the sludge villain see specifically in Izuku as the best of all available options that was better/best than everybody else?
