Welcome to my Dragon Quest Builders Gameplay series or simply Let’s Play Dragon Quest Builders! It’s like Dragon Quest Minecraft! I’m going to be going through the game to get a feel for what to expect and share the experience I have with you guys. The game takes place in the land of Alefgard where people have forgotten how to build and it’s my job to teach them and rebuild the kingdom!

Generations ago, the realm of Alefgard was plunged into darkness by the terrible and treacherous Dragonlord, ruler of all monsters. Mankind was robbed of the power to build and forced to wander the ruins of their former home, scrounging and scavenging in the dust to survive.

I love your playthrough of this game, but man – you did three things that got to me a little, and I know – can’t please everyone, but I ought to start by saying this playthrough greatly pleased me, so this is little more than a shy critique. You didn’t eat your nuts (ik, sounds bad, right) – so you weren’t at your full potential (I got a lil worried when Dragonlord’s second form would hit you once and take out over half of your energy). The second, is that you didn’t watch past the credits, because there’s a post-credit scene. Trust me, your subs and viewers generally don’t care if the video is long, I quite enjoy long videos – but if someone has a complaint about the length, fuck ’em. And the last thing, was way over-complicating Dragonlord’s first form. Cannon’s are good against Dragonlord when he drops his shields, but sticking with the sword for his minions, as you later found out, was the fastest strategy. ANYWAY, loved the playthrough – made sure I didn’t watch this one til I completed DQB, which I did a few hours ago (no spoilers, needed the experience for myself LoL), and I too died once on Dragonlord’s final form. It was a drastically epic fight. Loved it, and that classic Dragonlord music from DQ1… fuck man, can’t beat it.

hello there, first of all great let’s play. It was the first time i watched you and i have to say i enjoyed it. I like your sense of humor and even though i was like "WTF how can he not see this???" it felt very entertaining. Overall you did a great job and the game actually looks pretty awesome as well. Alot of different things you can build with all that stuff. One thing i noticed was that the quests were kinda easy… or atleast it felt like that. I know it’s actually a game aiming for younger audience but still except for a few quests at the end you didn’t had to figure much out for yourself. That’s why the quests weren’t that much interesting. Anyway i liked the story and all the funny characters which gave a good feeling listening to all this extremly long chit-chat througout the game (haven’t played the dragon quest series yet… any of them).
Besides that i have one point which pretty much got me kinda disappointed during your playthrough. And that’s the building part… maybe it’s because the series wasn’t that popular or propably you got kind of sick of all that building at the end because of your ridiculously insanely high floting platform town but within the last chapter with the castle ruin i got very disappointed when simply put all those pillars just in one room just because you needed to lvl up the town lvl. And after chapter two it always felt like that. Actually thats just how i experienced it but that was kind of a huge letdown for me… because it’s actually a game about building.
Never mind, you did a good job, thanks for the let’s play!

Great play through Z! I loved Dragon Warrior growing up, but I’m not a huge fan of playing voxel building games, so I wouldn’t have ever played this. It was great to see the story play out and the music was EPIC! Great work.
