Honestly this is one my my favorite episodes. The way that it was laid out was great.
How light looked over and imagined L sitting there, the scene of Light walking while the narrator was talking, everything.

…It’s called albinism. You don’t need to be elderly to have white hair, that’s just how it’s most commonly portrayed. Near is 13 and Mello is 14 during their first appearances. When Near forms the SPK, he is 17 or 18 and Mello is 19 when he reappears. Wammy’s House is an orphanage for genius children, it’s almost certain that the children there are going to be quirky or weird. None of them are related. Everyone in Death Note has a natural hair and eye color. The hair colors don’t represent anything as far as I know. Mello & Near were originally going to be L’s sons, but Tsugumi Ohba couldn’t see L having children, let alone being intimate with someone. Also, there was never a previous L.

L made a back up to that first Lair he was in in the 2ndEp and set up a timer. He probably had a an encrypted program that triggered the timer.

I didn’t notice it the first time I watched this show, but in the first few episodes whenever we saw L that timer was with him. It just goes to show how far L plans ahead.

Fuck Rem, it killed Watari and L, and it should have killed Light knowing full well that he was willing to sacrifice Misa for his fiendish ends. That does not bode well for Misa’s future, and Light took a big gamble that Rem would not kill him too. Rem was a sucker that wanted Misa’s happiness, but what are the odds of happiness with a psychopath like Light?

You have to wonder, if anyone really thought that L didn’t have one last trick up his sleeve? Though he described himself as justice, he knew he wasn’t a god and knew that at some point he’d die…..so he had a back-up plan just in case…..Light on the other hand sees others as either enemies, followers, or allies he can use until he doesn’t need them anymore and then…..
