Welcome back to Episode 2 of Voice Actor Reviews! Today we’re taking a look at the English Dub voice for Boruto! For those of you that don’t know, Boruto is the son of Naruto. Boruto is the star of his new upcoming anime Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. He recently starred in the anime movie Boruto: Naruto The Movie. Unlike Naruto, Boruto doesn’t care about becoming the Hokage. He’s a very snobby, childish brat. Does the English voice fit? It pisses me off how people are [also] complaining about Boruto being voice acted by a woman as well. Who tf cares? It doesn’t matter which gender the person is, as long as the voice fits with the character. That’s literally all the directors are looking for. People are so immature ?

I’m not to thrilled with the dub voice for Boruto I’ll hold off till I see grown Boruto’s voice which will be ep 1 which was announced to be coming to Toonami

I dont understand Japanese but I like the Borutos voice in the tv show. Ill get used to the American dub voice but thats gonna be like 5 years down the road. I like reading the Manga and just putting the voice I want to him while reading.

No thats not how kids globally do things, its how americans do things. However, i want a boys voice for Boruto, not a woman trying to put on a boys voice. Boruto is a teenager.Why can’t we have a boys voice, like sasuke had a boys voice, and so many other characters. I am sick and tired of a woman playing the voice of a boy, and all you get is a voice that sounds like a little girl.

I really like Amanda doing Boruto’s current voice because I feel like it really fits his character, however, I hope that they find a different voice actor for Boruto when he’s older
Idk, I can’t imagine her doing a voice for a 16 year old boy and making it sound normal

No ofense to anyone here but. In my opinion i think baruto’s voice in english is fine, unlike the rest of you who are hateing on the voice actress. Do you guys even think about what your saying, right now say the voice actor was reading the hateful comments and to see that her voice is being juged and hated on, that would be an awful experience. And btw i don’t think any of you can actually do the voice any better so if you have nothing nice to say then don’t comment.

Amanda’s voice is terrible fucking cringe, narutos voice does not sound like a girl. From the moment the first episode started, you can tell there’s something wrong. There is no reason for the boy to sound like a girl.

I get the fact that he’s a child so naturally his voice will not be that masculine, but this is ridiculous he straight up sounds like a girl. At least with Naruto he actually sounded like a boy. What happens when Boruto gets older unless they decide to go with a male voice actor after the first series which I don’t believe they will because they already have the Boruto vs Kawaki scene.

naruto’s voice actor can pull of sounding like a guy, but boruto honestly sounds like a girl. i was watching the japanese dub and boruto’s va is still a girl but she can definitely pull it off and boruto sounds like a guy, but in english like a girl

Boruto needs a female voice actor because he is not a man yet. Kids his age don’t have deep voices and their voices match that of a female in many ways at least until puberty, then their voices get deep. Not only that but let’s face it, children are not good actors and hiring kids to do an entire series while going to school and going through puberty is a bad idea. Having a female voice the child characters is more effective as the actor is an adult with lots of experience in acting and will maintain a consistent voice. Unlike children, who’s voices change as they grow.

I like the voice actress because it goes well with him. Cause of how he act, make sense. But, with the first English dub it still like his voice didn’t change. It only sound different because it’s a serious scene.

Everyone know the original is better! And ok it’s a girl voice but i think it good for a 12-13 years old boy?..But I hope he will get a male voice when he will be older…
And I think you should be happy because you have Boruto in Dubed version.?Because in my country we can only watch it with subtitles not only boruto…(naruto shippuden)?

People are complaining about Boruto not appreciating his dad and all that stuff but keep in mind that that’s how they want it. I feel like the writers created the storyline this way because later on they will make it more emotional. Once Boruto grows up and matures he’ll realize how powerful and amazing his father truly is. His attitude is supposed to be shitty. When i first started watching Boruto i HATED it (i watch it subbed tho) but once the episodes go by he becomes less shitty (?) idk how to explain it. Boruto is supposed to be the opposite of his father. I feel like people are judging Boruto (as a character) WAY too harshly, just because of Naruto. Be more open minded. I’m pretty sure some of the same writers of Naruto are helping out with the storyline. They’re obviously not stupid. This’ll be good.
