I see that you actually bought gantz, and i have to say, from all the anime i would actually buy gantz would be the last hell i wouldn’t even buy it, it was pretty good and all, TILL it was finished on episode 24 if i’m not wrong, oh well.

Can I see what the subbs looks like? I only watch Japanese with subtitles ^.^ also how accurate are they? Like do they write out the honorifics or is the word ‘Shinigami’ or is it ‘Death God’.

Yes, I would like to know about the subtitle quality from Viz. I’ve heard that they water down the subs with censoring swear words and what not.

01:58 You never use the japanese dub??? That’s just crazy. Probably because you’re american. With that I mean you probably arn’t used to subtitles but where I’m from it’s like 99% of the movies/series has subs. Not that I use them but still, give the jap dub a try I you haven’t done so already (except in fma and dbz).

Love your opening, ‘I’m black, I collect anime… So get use to it’. I thought your review was really good. The way the box set is designed reminds me of the DBZ orange box season sets and I remember the plastic that held the disk being rather thin.
When I ordered season 5 of DBZ from amazon, it arrived with the middle plastic that holds the disks, broken and sharp plastic loose inside the case. I wish they could release anime the same way they released dragon box or Naruto for its simplicity.

epic review bro, death note is great, and them box-sets are looking good, chip-board may have been a lil better but we dont see that much anymore : / also disc may crack?! that is also a dow-fall but o well great review!!

@BDUBTheAnimeMaster I was wondering how tall these box sets are in order to figure whether or not they will fit with my other anime. Basically all i need to know is if these boxes are taller than the Dragon Boxes since they just barely fit on my shelf. Thanks!

I saw an image from the (is it FV or FIZ?) twitter where a photo was captioned "It’s coming!" and the photo said death note and on one side shows original footage, while on the right it shows HD. Then at the very bottom it says "Coming this winter!"
